Introduction to Permaculture 17th and 18th of August 2013

IMG_0185Join us on the farm for a two day course covering both theory and practical permaculture.

Understanding the patterns in nature and how you can work with them to maximise your productivity is vital, we have timed our next Introduction to Permaculture course to get you and your garden ready for the summer ahead.

Our farm has ample examples of permaculture systems in action, find out what will work best for you, your land, your needs and your resources.

Learn from over 20 years of experience, we’ll share our mistakes with you as well as our successes.

This course is held in our new purpose built venue and includes hands on activities in the gardens.

     Course Outline

  • Principles and ethics of Permaculture
  • Zones and Sectors
  • Weeds and herbs (uses in the garden)
  • Animals Systems
  • Composting systems and worms
  • Zones 1 and 2 veggie fruit tree systems
  • Plant propagation for the coming season
  • Permaculture in the community

“The brilliance of permaculture is not that it creates abundance through ethical and creative designs based on nature’s patterns. It’s that it allows us to access our own innate intelligence to do this vital work. It is essential that our creative genius is foregrounded – so that our places and our people and all non-human others once again flourish.”

Hi at FH, sounds awesome, but August is get-out-of town month for a lot of locals… Will you be doing another perhaps in Sept? Karen
