Mokidup Wetland Restoration Course May 7th – 11th 2025

$550.00

Product Description

After a highly successful wetland restoration course last year we have decided to make this an annual event.

Designed by the team at Fair Harvest and using some of the best knowledge in the area, this course in a great combination of theory and hands-on.

With a deep acknowledgment of the  country we work on our aim is to restore the health of the waterways that pass through the property that we are custodians of. Working together with Undalup Association, Nature Conservation Margaret River, Margaret River Community Nursery and some fabulous, knowledgeable and committed individuals.

During the course you will learn about the creek flow in the South West, plant selection and propagation, weed management, problem shooting, planting methods and management plans. You will also get to spend a day with the remarkable Simon Cherriman learning about fauna and habitat creation.

Students are encouraged to camp on site (included in the cost) and lunches are provided.

“I loved the 5 day course. It was a good mix of heady info, practical hands-in-the-soil and deeper connection-to-the-earth stuff. I have come away re-invigorated and feeling supported by a growing network of earth conscious people.”

“Jodie, Do and the Fair Harvest team have curated a super interesting short course in rewilding a partially degraded riparian environment. By bringing in passionate experts as teachers and gathering keen and actively minded participants! I loved the balance between theory, practice, variety, and the story of how the pathway to the regeneration was paved over the past few months and longer. Learning new things each day from so many angles including details of local birds, plants andl native animals to the honesty of practical problems encountered and solutions entertained. I loved camping and making breakfast and dinner in such good company with a beautiful lunch prepared for us each day. I think there was a mutual sense of enjoyment, gratitude for the experience and for the teamwork conducted by participants and the Fair Harvest locals alike!”
