Open Edible Gardens Oct 26th and 27th 2013
Open Edible Gardens Weekend 26/27th October
This is your chance to see twelve local edible landscapes and meet the gardeners who have developed them.
The gardens range from small plots to paddock, private to public, ordered to eclectic. Some have been established for many years, others only a few months.
Walk and talk with the gardeners and share their experience in design, soil preparation, water needs and plant selection. These are not show gardens but real-life productive spaces created by busy people who care about what they and their family eat.
Each garden is open for three hours once during the weekend.
NB Some gardens will have plants for sale.
Fair Harvest will be open on Saturday from 8am till 2pm for coffee, snacks and self guided tours of the garden and on Sunday from 4 pm onwards to celebrate the weekend with a glass of wine, a local taste plate and some music.
Programs cost $10 (all proceeds going to Transition Margaret River). Programs can be bought by signing up below or picked up at Fair Harvest between 8 am and 2 pm on Sat 26th .
Each garden is only open for half a day (3 each morning and afternoon) so don’t get your program too late.
